Dawn Svoronos
Chair of the Board
Ms Svoronos has served as Chair of our Board since June 2024, Lead Independent Director from June 2021 to June 2024, and member of our Board since September 2016. Ms Svoronos sits on the Board of Directors of the following publicly traded biopharmaceutical companies: Adverum Biotechnologies, Inc. and Galapagos NV. She also sits on the board of the privately held biotechnology company Agnovos Bioscience. Ms Svoronos retired in 2011 from Merck & Co., Inc. following a 23-year career in commercial positions of increasing seniority, most recently as President of Europe and Canada. Her previously held positions with Merck include Vice President of Asia Pacific and Vice President of Global Marketing for the Arthritis, Analgesics, and Osteoporosis franchises. Ms Svoronos previously sat on the Boards of Theratechnologies Inc., Acelyrin, Inc., PTC Therapeutics, Inc., Global Blood Therapeutics, Inc., Endocyte, Inc., and Medivation Inc. Ms Svoronos received a BA in English and French literature from Carleton University.
